Daddy really liked it when I said "Happy Father's Day", so now I try it occasionally when he's upset with me. When I don't listen, and he's lecturing me, I say out of nowhere "Happy Father's Day Daddy." It doesn't seem to help.
Speaking of lectures, Mommy talks to me a lot about pooping on the potty. A LOT! So the other day, when I made poops in my pants, I told Daddy not to tell Mommy. When he asked why, I said "I don't like her talking."

Father's Day
Last weekend was father's day. We gave Daddy a new coffee mug that I think he really likes, cause he now uses it every morning and at night too! It's really pretty. Mommy said it's "pottery". It looks like a coffee mug to me.
We also gave Daddy a card. I was upset that he didn't get flowers since we gave flowers to Mommy for Mother's day, so Mommy had me draw some in the card. Daddy said they looked really good!
We then went for a hike with my friend Dylan, like we do every father's day. We went back up to that lake in the mountains, and Dylan and I took off our shoes and played in the water. I accidently threw one of my shoes in after I took it off, by accident. Luckily we had another pair. Dylan and I didn't care that the water was ice cold!
Dylan and I pretended to catch fish and give them to Daddy. I had a piece of fishing string with a sinker on it, and Dylan had a stick for a fishing rod. We had lot's of fun,
Dylan and I are pretty silly together!

Never ending story!
I told my first never ending, non-sensical story the other day. Daddy was rocking me in the chair before bed, and I started talking about a horsey trying to jump over a hill, and the hill jumped up and caught it. Then the hill had a wagon, with a rainbow colored ball in it. And then it went on from there. I continued the story as Daddy layed me down in the bed and as he walked out the door. It was kind of hard to tell in the dark, but Daddy's eyes seemed to be glazed over.

Physical Fitness
I have lots of energy. Even right before bed! Daddy and Mommy can't seem to keep up with me, they always look tired. I don't know why. Maybe Evan will run with me when his legs work.
Music
I love music. I play guitar and drums and like to sing. I can sing "you are my sunshine" all by myself, but I need a little help with "wheels on the bus." (another video from april)
I love to play the drums too. Here is my special "all percusion" version of "you are my sunshine".
The stupid egg wouldn't hatch. No matter how long I sat on it!
Baseball
I love playing sports. I don't understand the rules, and to me, every sport includes "running the bases". I play basketball, and tell Daddy that he's "the team". I'm pretty good at making baskets. We play soccer and Daddy and I kick the ball back and forth. He seems to want me to do that the most, even though I prefer baseball or basketball. In baseball, I hit the ball then run the bases, making sure to properly throw my bat and then slide while saying "cloud of dust".
Here is an older video (from April) showing my baseball skills!

Playing by my self
I'm starting to get pretty good at playing by myself. Some days all I need from Mommy and Daddy is some breakfast and a cup of milk, I then go off and entertain myself. My imagination is really growing, I have my little cars talk to each other, my stuffed animals talk to each other, or my animals talk to my cars!
Of course, other days I get bored easily, and walk around asking "What we gonna do now?" after every little thing. Or I lie on the floor and wistfully say "There's nothing to do." Then Mommy or Daddy try and do puzzles with me or read books to me while holding Evan. He likes the books and puzzles too, but he always tries to lean forward and grab them and put them in his mouth. I don't like that!
You notice that I didn't say "play quietly" by myself. While I play, I like to sing, or babble nonsense words and phrases, just to hear my own voice.
Daddy said he will add more videos of this later. He has to download them from the big video camera and he's too lazy to do it.

New Potty!
I got a new potty! It fits on to a big people's potty, and has steps to reach it. I love it. The first day I got it I took off my clothes and sat on it for twenty minutes. I would get up every once and awhile to go get another stack of books. I sat and read books to myself on the potty, just like Grampa does!
I've still prefer to go stand in the corner behind the train table and go in my diaper though. Sometimes I'll do that right after sitting on the potty for awhile. Mommy told me I'll get two cookies if I use the potty, but that's not enough. I'm holding out for a new bulldozer for the sandbox.

Talking
People say I talk really well for my age. But here are a few things that I say that make Mommy and Daddy smile
"Daddy, can you do me a favorite?"
Whenever I see a flower that is getting ready to bloom, I say "This one is about to flame!"
"when I'm a big, huge man I'll be able to drive a car, and Daddy will ride in the carseat."

Educating Daddy
For a big people, Daddy sure needs some help.
this week when I was picking out my vitamin (I like to pick one out myself each morning. They are shaped like animals) Daddy said,
"How about a lion?"
"That's not a lion Daddy, that's a leopard. They're kind of similar." I said.
Or when he made my burrito, but said it was still too hot. I said
"Blow on it to cool it down Daddy."
"I can blow on it, but it is the inside that is hot, so blowing on it won't really help."
"Open it up, then you can cool the inside."
He opened it up and blew on the inside before giving it too me. He was mumbling something under his breath that sounds like he called me a "smart " and then some word I never heard before that rhymes with glass.
Speaking of rhymes, I am getting good at doing that! It must be all the Doctor Suess books.
