Christmas!

We drew pictures of ourselves in art class.  I even put the dinosaurs on my shirt!  I'm getting pretty good, don't you think?

I normally draw stick figures.  But in art class I try a little harder.

Dinosaurs

So, as many of my regular reader might know...I kind of like dinosaurs.
So I decided to MAKE one!  I got some paper, the scissors, and some tape....and of course, my faithful assistant, Evan.
 Evan actually doesn't really help that much...

Daddy helped me hang it on our door.  Isn't it awesome!

Halloween

Yeah! Halloween finally came.  Evan and I were Ninjas!  We went to our friends Sean and Quinn's house, and some more of our friends came over and we all went trick or treating together.  Ten little boys all together!  W

 I guess we'll have to call a truce.

Afterwards we went back to the party and traded candies

I LOVE Halloween.

Bridging, building, etc.

Who needs a gym!  We've got furniture.  

Who needs weights?  Evan and I life each other!

Fishing

Daddy, Evan and I went back to Pennsylvania this fall.  PopPop took us fishing.  It was a LOT of fun.  I did get tangled sometimes.  Or a lot, actually.

I did catch something.  Not a fish, but a big, pointy stick, which is even better!

 PopPop had to help Evan and Cara, too.  They got tangled sometimes.  Or a lot, actually.

Daddy couldn't help us because the Fish Policeman guy was there, and Daddy didn't have a license.  So PopPop did all the work.. I don't know why PopPop looked so tired afterwards!

Cowboy Shirts

Evan and I wear shirt that Grandma made Daddy when he was a little boy.  We get lots and lots of compliments on them.  Probably because we look so good.

Birthday!

I am seven! I had a birthday party with my friends.  We painted dinosaurs.  Daddy made a dinosaur cake.  It's a T-rex.  At least I think it's a T-rex.  He might need to practice his dinosaurs a little more.

I got some cool presents.  Lego sets, Kinects, and of course, another dinosaur fossil I had to dig out...

I don't think Evan is as excited about it as I am.  I borrowed Daddy's safety glasses and got to work!
Daddy says being 7 means I have to tie my own shoes.  I'm practicing, but...
He also says it means I have to learn to shower by myself.  Who knew that growing up was going to be so much work?
PS.  I bet Daddy couldn't tie his shoes at 7.  He can barely do it now!

New Bedroom!

So Daddy finally stopped sitting around, eating bon-bons and watching Oprah and finished our bedroom.  We got a new floor, a new ceiling, new paint, a fan (although he STILL hasn't put the dinosaurs on the blades like he said he would) and pictures of dinosaurs and best of all....

I sleep up on top, because I'm old enough.  It's really fun.  I was all excited to sleep up there the first day, but Evan wasn't so sure about it.  I guess it's cause he's never really slept by himself.  But he got used to it right away.  He's cool like that.

Daddy has to keep reminding me that the bed is NOT playground equipment.  I am NOT allowed to jump off the top.  We found out we're not allowed to throw our pajamas into the fan while it's running, either.  Daddy sure has a LOT of rules!
Good thing he doesn't know what we do when he's not around....

Biking

Evan got a new bike.  I did too.  Both are bikes are new to us, anyway.  Somebody gave them to us.  I can't really ride mine yet because it doesn't have a pedal brake.
We like to ride our bikes in Steamboat.  There's a mountain bike spot right by the bike path that we go on.

Easter

last day of ski lessons!

It's the last day of my ski lessons.  Daddy got to come and ski with us in the afternoon.  I got to show him my french fry turns, although I was pretty tired by then!  I rode the lift with my friend Evan.  

The snow was nice and soft, and I tried to do French Fry turns instead of Pizza, but was tired.  Although some how I always manage to have energy to ski fun gully with Evan (my brother, not the kid from my ski class), at the end of the day.

I liked ski lessons, but I'd rather ski with Evan.

Snowy Saturday

It's snowing really hard.  Mommy's out of town and Evan is too sick to go to Eldora, so we had to stay home and miss my ski lesson.  It wasn't so bad...

We played games, read book, painted...

I like skiing.   But I like staying home and spending all day in my pajamas too!  All day.  At bedtime all we had to do was brush our teeth!  We never got dressed.  Never combed our hair.  I like Saturdays with daddy.  

Sleeping

We got a bunk bed from our friends Kevin and Malia.  Daddy said once he sets it up, I can sleep in the top bunk, but Evan has to stay down on the bottom.  I don't know about that.  I have a feeling I'll end up sneaking back down to the bottom bunk.

Keeping my tooth.

I've got another loose tooth!  I wonder if I'll get to keep this one, too?  I had to write a note for the first one...

Artwork

I am really starting to enjoy drawing.  Not only do I like to draw at home, but I am doing an art class after school on Wednesdays.  It's really fun.  I'll show those pictures later, (Daddy hasn't gotten around to taking pictures of them.  He's lazy like that.)
But here are some of my drawings that he seems to really like..
the first is a knight and a castle with a moat with an alligator and dragons flying overhead.

Dinosaur Bones

As some of you may know, I kind of like Dinosaurs.  I like to read about them.  Draw them.  Dig for their bones.  I got another one of those things where I can dig for Dinosaur bones.  I've had them before, but this time was different because this one was bigger, and I had an assistant!

 He didn't have his good digging goggles, so he used his swim goggles.

 Mostly he watched me work.

The bones turned out to be a big T-rex skeleton. 

My tooth fell out

My tooth fell out while I was eating french toast on Sunday morning.  It didn't hurt at all, but for some reason I still cried into Daddy's shoulder for three solid minutes.  I was very sad, and I don't know why.  Sometimes I get that way.
I didn't want anyone to know I lost my tooth.  Mommy wanted to call Grandma and Grandpa and tell them, but I would let her.  I wrote a note to the tooth fairy (video coming soon!) asking her if I could keep my tooth.  I wonder if she'll still give me something.

Loose Tooth!

I have my first loose tooth, and I'm scared!  It feels really funny, and is hard to eat cause it's right in the front.  And what if it hurts when it comes out?
I hope it doesn't come out in school.  I don't want anyone to know.  I'm a little funny like that.
And I'm not giving it to the tooth fairy.  I'm keeping it.  Like a dinosaur bone.
